Frankie McPhillips found the dressing for this fly in E.J. Malones wonderful book "Irish Trout And Salmon Flies" The body of the fly is covered with clear plastic which gives the pattern a wonderful translucency. Since I introduced it to my range it has become a firm favourite not only on its' Lough of origin but all over Ireland. With its' combination of three coloured hackles it is one of the most beautiful dry mayflies ever invented.
